collectors fallacy: The tendency to gather useful stuff, and feel good about it. Itâs a fallacy (the use of invalid or otherwise faulty reasoning) because it gives the mistaken idea of an increase in knowledge and understanding
- It makes us feel good â addictive
- collecting is not learning
- understanding â how does this piece of information relate to other information in my graph â linking
- truly understanding something means you can explain it to others who are not proficient in that field
