Most information we receive daily is of no immediate use, and won’t make us a better person. It is more dopamine then personal growth. Filtering out such information will free up time & resources for better study and mental health. This does take self_disciple, which is hard and in limited supply.
Why filter what you read? How do you know what to filter? Different kinds of knowledge Won’t you miss out?

- Fear of missing out is a terrible reason
- If you can’t be bothered making a note, why bother, you’ll have forgotten it next week
- Just in time studying. All information is 5 minutes away. If something is not pertinent, just look it up when needed.
