Zettelkasten and Evergreen notes polishing
Using a plugin for spaced repetition can, besides the obvious use of training ones memory, also be used as a review system. The plugin will add and update meta-data that keeps track when a note should be visited next. This gives peace of mind that even if a note isn’t perfect it will be visited later anyway learn to let go.
Using SRS in such a manner is surprisingly fun: going through a couple of notes, ticking them of the list as being good enough for now gives the feeling of moving forwards. I do this as part of my morning routine. Seek an internal positive feedback loop for ongoing motivation
In my current (04-2023) setup I use a spaced-repetition plugin for writing. The plugin shows all pages with a #review
tag, and then uses an SRS algorithm to show me pages spread over time. This is a great way to slowly improve (iteration) the quality of notes.
After a bit over three months (mid jun 2023), this proves to be a very good workflow, the quality of my notes has gone up, and it is very relaxing to know nothing will get lost lost ““forever””.
